WPF/Silverlight or should i study something else for a better MS job? [closed]

I am very confusing now. I read online blogs which states that "WPF/Silverlight is dead , XAML is the future". Right now i am on a job hunting for C# jobs. I know that ASP.NET is a very popular choice. However, i only touch a little about it

i did have one year experience with silverlight and knowing that WPF is very similar to silverlight so i can learn WPF quickly. But i am not sure about their future jobs anymore

everyone is talking about XAML/Javascript/HTML5/CSS for window 8 ....

so my question is that whether i should continue to improve my silverlight skill and then master WPF too to get a good MS job (but how long these jobs will be available? or there will be no need for them anymore during the next 3 years?)

or i should switch to ASP.NET or XAML/Javascript/HTML5/CSS for window 8 (but which books should i read for them? i check amazon.com but don't see any good one)
