Silverlight DataGrid - How to put cell in edit mode via command?

I have a datagrid, and we need to do some re-ordering of the items, UI is setup so that on each row there a icon for reordering. We would like to click on that button and place the cell in that row in edit mode. I know I can set the cell in edit mode via double click. But how to achieve the same via click on the button? The template for cell edit contains a text box, and ok and cancel button, so I need to know also how to return the cell into non-edit mode after that.
