Hi All,
We have developed a CRM Application in Silverlight. It has different layers starting from Silverlight to Repository. My Repository project Dll size is now reached 15 mb... I am much worried if this keep on increasing when i extend the application functionality.
My Ask here is what is maximum size of the Dll that can be deployed? Is there any impact in the performance if my repository Dll size is increased?
Thanks in Advance.
Regards, Anbu.

hi anbuforum
This may work for u...
Step 1: Keep all dll's in main (or) global Project and add all project's dll's in that Project.
Step 2: In the remaining project add required dll's and keep all the dll's property to COPYLOCAL as False...
Thanks & Regards

15MB? It really a big size for dll repository. As Mastan Narravula said, you should have to add required dll.
At the same time, you could make its weight more light by following this article: http://www.silverlightshow.net/items/My-XAP-file-is-5-Mb-size-is-that-bad.aspx

My problem is not with the xap file size. it is still under the control. My ask here is with the Repository ( database access layer ) dll which is increased to 15 mb mainly due to the LINQ db proxy file which crossed 0.6 million lines of code.
If I am not wrong, when i hit a server for a request (e.g) login, does the 15 mb repository dll loads into the memeory to respond the request. If so does the memory multiplies for the no of users hitting the server?
On top of all... if possible please share me how a dll execute and deliver the functinality i.e in the performance wise. Does the performance degrades as the dll size keep on increasing? if so what would be allowed limit for a better performance?
Thanks in Advance.
